Gem Fusion: Fire Agate (Dravite + Pyrope)

Description

Here's another Gem Fusion with Dravite, and a really awesome one too! This one I designed with my one DA friend,  :iconhronawmonstamer:’s Gemsona, Pyrope. She's a really cool girl who designed neat Steven Universe Attack The Light-style Idle Animations of my Gemsonas, and I really like her own Gemsona too. This Fusion has to be one of the most powerful Dravite Fusions so far, though at the same time is balanced by the fact that she's also one of the most unstable too. Fits because HronawmonsTamer told me that Pyrope Fusions tend to be rather strong and huge due to Pyrope being like Lapis Lazuli-level powerful, but also said fusions with Pyrope are also really unstable too.

This is Fire Agate, the Fusion of Dravite and Pyrope. Really huge and this time has 4 legs too, though still quite fast but really strong. I was trying for a 4-legged Fusion without using the Malachite body type (to be honest, I dislike Malachite). She came out almost looking spider-like in a way. Also, that weapon is totally freakin' badass, don't you think?

After this, I'm gonna stop on Dravite Fusions for a while. I have like 5 of them done (6 if you count Sphalerite whom yasuhiro96 designed), each with good specifics in mind, and how they'd work with Dravite and such. I need to work on other things now. Might think of designing Dravite fusions with the official Crystal Gems or something like that.
And no, Epidote is not a good Fusion candidate.

I hope you like her too, HronawmonsTamer. She really is one heck of a Fusion!

First of all, check out the two Gems who fuse to form her!

Now for the Info on her

Name:   Fire Agate

Race:   Fusion Gem

Gender:   Genderless (referred to as a she)

Gemstone(s):   Fire Agate, Dravite, Pyrope

Weapon:   Rocket Launcher

Description:   Fire Agate is the massive fusion of Dravite and Pyrope. An extremely mighty but also less stable fusion than most others, she boasts considerable offensive power and still possesses notable speed.
Due to Pyrope's exceptionally high power level, Fire Agate is one of the tallest of all Dravite Fusions. As such, she stands slightly taller than Sardonyx, which for a 2-Fusion is rather huge (but is still shorter than Sugilite).

Fire Agate has a stocky build and wears a 2-part suit with a sort of jagged line between them, and parts of Dravite's jumpsuit mixed in. She has four bulky arms, each which seem to share a shoulder joint, and four legs as well, with an extra joint on each leg, but only two eyes. Each of her arms has a shoulder pad like Dravite has. Dravite's mouth-guard has been reshaped into a sort of "exhaust mask" which sort of resembles a gas mask, though does not function like one (since Gems don't need to breathe anyways). Underneath the exhaust mask, she has a mouth filled with sharp pointed teeth, twisted into a grin. Her hairstyle is like a more smoothed version of Pyrope's hair, with a ponytail on the back that is shaped to resemble a fireball.

Her Gemstones are located at the right kneecap (Dravite’s) and the left shoulder (Pyrope). Most times the Dravite Gemstone is on the front right leg, but on subsequent regenerations, the Dravite Gemstone may relocate to the back right leg (sort of like Sugilite with her hand Gemstones).

Personality:   Fire Agate is a rather volatile and violent Gem, sharing most of Dravite's competitive traits and hyper personality, and Pyrope's brash nature and destructive tendencies. She is helpful in combat, but often times can get carried away with fighting and will often times use unnecessary force or blow up things just for the sake of causing explosions. She also will not miss the chance to provoke any foe near her in order to start a fight to the finish.

Notably brutal, but great for speedy assault and demolition. Strategy is not a word in Fire Agate's vocabulary, as for she is pure offensive, fast, straight-forward power, but also not the most reliable of fusions. At times, she can end up causing more harm than help in fact. Very impulsive, but still more open to listen to others if you manage to get her attention first, and she never resists de-fusing (in fact usually the Dravite part does this easily if asked to).

However, she is really unstable too. Usually this persona only lasts momentarily and soon they start to act like their component Gems, then De-Fuse. This kicks in most often when she gets too carried away with her violent or rude tendencies (in ways the Dravite part would not want), or if she tries to use her Kamikaze attack (which Dravite wouldn't approve of, she doesn't want to blow herself up, even if she does regenerate).

Could remind you of Sugilite in ways in that she's a real huge and tough and bulky Gem, but will at times do more harm than help. Although not exactly in that she does not challenge authority just because she's bigger, does not resist de-fusing, and the dangerous part is more of just getting carried away. Plus, way less stable and usually that part kicks in before things can get really out of hand.

Abilities:   Fire Agate can utilize the standard abilities of other Gems and Gem Fusions, including agelessness, shapeshifting, can summon a Gem Weapon, can bubble objects for stasis, and can retreat to her gemstones to regenerate should she take too much damage (though resulting in De-Fusion from it). Fire Agate is worse at bubbling things though.

Fire Agate's weapon is a Rocket Launcher. The weapon is made by combining Pyrope's Flame Hammer as part of the barrel and the handle, with Dravite's Weaponized Hoverboard as the rocket projectile and some other parts of it as well. The reshaping of the weapons when they merge is a bit more, sort of like Opal's bow.

The rockets do heavy damage, and have a notably large blast radius. Fire Agate can only shoot one at a time, and has to wait a moment for another rocket to generate inside after shooting it. However, she roughly accomodates this by dual-wielding the rocket launchers with all four of her arms, similar to how Pyrope would dual-wield her hammers. The rockets can also be set to Incendiary, for fiery explosions, or Disruptor, for explosions that temporarily disable machinery. However, she rarely ever uses Disruptor Rockets even when it would be more effective to use them, and prefers to just constantly bombard the target with Incendiary rockets.

Although really huge, Fire Agate is still fast like Dravite and other fusions that incorporate Dravite. In fact, the extra legs she has are a big help in running much ground quickly and leaping long distances. To give an example of how fast she is. Fire Agate can run about twice as fast as Sugilite could run (which considering how she's shorter than Sugilite, is really fast for her size).

Fire Agate also possesses Pyrope's fire abilities and can shoot plumes of flame from her hands, or even fly short distances by combustion generated from her feet. She often times uses this to deal with enemies up close, and attacks her foes from a distance with her rocket launchers.

Like Pyrope, Fire Agate requires fuel to maintain her abilities, and drinks alcohol and flammable liquids, like kerosene, to replenish her fuel. She does not get drunk off of said alcohol. With her sharper teeth now and larger mouth, she will also at times even eat wood or coal to also replenish fuel for herself.
If Fire Agate runs out of fuel, she will become weaker and be unable to use most of her powers. The mask on her face is not a gas mask, but rather more of an exhaust mask. If she exerts a lot of power at once, or when out of fuel, she exhales smoke out from the mask.

Though not as much as Pyrope herself does, Fire Agate is still weak to water, and can actually have her powers disabled or hindered by it. She also has much less atheletic ability than Dravite, mainly due to her bulky build.

By far though, Fire Agate's biggest weakness is her instability.

Stability:   Really Unstable, with a capital U. With Dravite being nowhere near as brash and rude and aggressive as Pyrope, and not being a Gem she'd get along with very well, this is not a fusion you could expect to stay together for long periods of time. In fact, Dravite probably would fail the Fusion Dance with Pyrope a couple times, especially because of Pyrope's moshing style would be harder for her to work with. I'd expect them to only fuse as a last resort, and even then it would be short lived. This is much like many other Pyrope Fusions, which tend to be quite powerful but really unstable.

At the very most, Fire Agate can hold for about an hour, making her even less stable than Alexandrite. However, sometimes this can be a good thing, as for with Fire Agate's aggressive tendencies, they will probably de-fuse before things can get too out of hand, especially when her Dravite part begins to disagree too much with what the Pyrope part is doing. Also, Fire Agate usually de-fuses if she attempts Pyrope's Kamikaze Strike attack, which Dravite does not approve of (even if she does regenerate, Dravite is not one for blowing herself up).

Nicknames:
Spider Giant Woman (Steven)
Rocket Spider (Jamie)

That is all. Hope you all like this one.

Oh and HronawmonsTamer you are free to use her in your works as much as you like, since technically she’d be your character too! I am glad you are satisfied with this one!

Yeah, she has to be the biggest Dravite fusion yet, but still a rather balanced Gem if you ask me.

Sorrry it took a bit to get to this, college kept me busy. Btw just as a fun fact but: I'm actually a girl. XD Despite all of my masculine looks.

But either way I do think this ended up well! I think the spider like look and the arms work with what we see here since Fire Agate can keep her balance while using BOTH of her missile launchers!
I like how you incorporated Pyrope's weakness too using the mask. Looks pretty cool!
Their designs also mixed up prretty well! I especially like the hair there, that fireball. XD
Too bad Dravite isn't a fan of Pyrope's style... Then again, not many ppl are a fan of how Pyrope does things.
